  2. This morning I read Romans 8:18 "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." I was very blessed

  4. Yesterday, I went on facebook and saw how many people had posted their statuses as "praying for the ppl losing houses in the fire" or "worried about the firefighters" or just simply, "bring the rain, Jesus."

it was nice to know that Christians were willing to take a break from their busy lives and open their hearts up to the people experiencing loss.

It blessed me because I now know that there really are people out there who care more about others than themselves.

  5. This summer I helped my dad put up a ramp at his office; and while we were working, a man who looked like a bum came up to us on his bike and asked us if we had heard the good news about Jesus Christ. I was really blessed when he asked us that cause it was cool to see him going around Auburn telling people about Jesus. JM

  6. A couple months ago I was listening to a song on my music player. And when I heard it, it touched me deeply. Especially the part when it said, "You give when you should take away." Which is very true, cause God blesses us even though we don't deserve it sometimes! So I was blessed when I heard that song!

  7. Well I went to the fair with some friends but I didn't have much money...well actually i had none by the time night hit. Mrs. Metzner gave me some glow tracks and I was really kinda afraid to give them TO people. Leaving them on benches and stuff wasn't hard, but I had two left and this random guy showed up and sat down beside me so i figured the man upstairs wanted me to give him one. My night hadn't been all that swell but when I gave the guy a track I think I was more blessed then he was haha. I then felt very uh...i guess inspired and so I went to find my next victim (metaphorically speaking of course.) so I saw this guy sitting by himself and i went up to him and gave him a track our conversation went something like this TT: good evening sir, I have been going around giving out these tracks to...uh er one person and i'm hoping you'd be willing to take one Man: sure, whats it about? TT: uh...er...um...Jesus? and uh how to be saved...yeah Man: thanks I learned that you should always know what in the world your giving to people. Bu since this was my last track it didn't matter much. I walked away feeling like my life finally had meaning and thinking to myself "boy i'm glad I don't have any more tracks to pass out" but then somehow, out of the blue another glow track magically appeared in my pocket. I took this as another sign. I was praying that God would impress me when I saw the right person to give my actual last one too. I walked around for awhile and got a random phone call from not so random people. and I was about to leave when i sat the right person. She was sitting by herself at this little like restaurant shop thingy. I came over to her, and with great poetic eloquence I bestowed upon her the glowing track. Clasp in the purest seymite, I held aloft the pamphlet, signifying by divine providence that I, Tyler, was to be king…oh or maybe not…but at any rate she got the track and I was EXTREMLY blessed. It goes to show that God can use anyone…even me.

  9. I was at med/dent camp in Mivoden this summer. I was waiting for my cousin to come back with another dollar so that we could get some ice cream at the store.
it was right before sundown on Friday when a man and his daughter walked in.
"I was wondering, if there is any way i could buy some ice cream for the entire Mivoden staff." he asked
"of coarse!" the cashier said. "what type of ice cream would you like to buy them?"
"I'll say a dollar per person, so they can choose their own."
"Ok, there are 98 Mivoden staff. so $98 are you sure you want to spend that much?"
"Yes, just consider it a gift from the dentists."
i was amazed at this mans generosity towards the whole camp staff. i felt blessed.

  13. i was blessed one day when i was feelin kind of down and i read a song my bud wrote.

    This world keeps you busy
    and you have no time
To serve the One, who fought and won

    Lord please help me
    It's only you that can.
The only one that truly loves me Is You

    I'm doing good in this
But then I fade in that.
    Please keep me balanced
    And my eyes on You.

    Lord please help me
    It's only you that can.
the only one that truly loves me is You

Cause I'm fading, and I need your help
    Please come save me,
    Please come rescue me,
    Please love me!

These thoughts come into my head
    they say that it's boring,
    And I'm loosing my passion.
    I push then away,
    but they keep coming back.
    What should I do Lord?

    Oh, I need You
    Yes, I neeed You
    Lord, I want You

All these distractions in this cruel, cruel world
Are keeping my eyes away from You,
    Lord, come restore me
Bring me back to the way I was supposed to be

    Oh, Please love me
    Please keep me
    Please save me!

Lord help me to keep my focus on You!

Last week my sister and i were driving to target and there was a homeless person on the side of the road who had a sign that said food... please anything helps!
i had nothing in the car, so i kept driving because i thought there was nothing i could do.
well when my sister and i were walking through the isles of target we decided to buy him food. so, we bought the food and drove back to the homeless man and gave him food.
the look in his eyes, the smile on his face, and the sincerity of his thank you truly blessed my life.

  16. At the Leadership Conference at Cedar Falls, the song team sang a song that the chorus went "Shine down, Light of the world, shine down. shine down." The song continued and came back to "WHen the shadows come, we reach for you." THis song blessed me because it reminded me of my favorite verse. "You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness." -Psalm 30:11

  19. A while back, my mom and I were dropping some things off at the Salvation Army. While I was there, I saw an SUV pull up and a man got out. He opened the truck, and he dropped off a large amount of stuff. The stuff looked like it was somewhat high quality. I was blessed when I realized how much money that stiff cost and how he was giving it to people that were less fortunate than him.

  23. I was blessed when I went to the Jr./Sr. Retreat, and when my group leader said something that really touched to me.
He said: "Why do I spend 6 hrs studying and doing homework for one class just to get an A, when I only read my Bible for 15 minutes for my eternal life."
So that really touched me when he said that. And it made me thinking that, we need to spend more time with God daily!

  25. Well Jacob and Myself went to Prayer Conference this last weekend and the whole thing was a blessing, but thats not all. We got high on dope and wrote the entire book of Psalms and it was pretty crazy... yep you had to be there haha.

anyway, we were sitting in the Sanctuary and it was after outreach and a girl was telling her story about her experience. She had a very interesting voice and her laugh wasn't exactly a cute little giggle or anything, it was a full on laugh and everything. So anyway we were being dumb and we made some rude remarks. I don't even remember what they were but they were very kind. There was a girl and her boyfriend in the pew in front of us and she obviously heard us so she turned around and what she said, hit me like an angry Paige..."Hey maybe instead of making fun of people you should be like Jesus!" Those words pulverized me and I wanted to melt into a puddle in the floor. I thought about what she said, and she was right. I felt so bad about it but I'm glad she said what she did, it really made me think about my life and the things I say a lot of times aren't exactly the best... I was truly blessed in a different way than normal.

  28. To live in this nation is such a blessing. I saw a video on you tube last night showing what people live with in Russia. As messed up as America may seem at times it is still the best place on earth.

  29. Every Sabbath morning for the past two months a girl from fresno that I kind of know but not really sends me a Bible verse on my phone. Its been a real blessing to get those Bible verses every Sabbath morning because there have been some times when I needed to read those verses for either comfort or encouragement.

  30. So this last friday I went to the Junior vespers. I was spending the night, and after everyone had left i realized that i couldn't find my keys.
Some girl took my jacket so i asked her to look for my keys in the pocket but she couldn't find them. I went to bed frustrated and feeling a little concerned. I prayed and asked God to please help me... the next morning i woke up and prayed again and fell back asleep. While i was asleep I had a dream about where my keys were. When I woke up I looked in that spot and sure enough they were there. I believe it was a miracle. So then i posted a comment on facebook, saying "God really does do miracles in even our average lives," and people's responses and comments back to that were also a blessing. The entire weekend was just a blessing in itself=) God truly does love us, he really does care, and he really does save

  31. I was blessed when I was at the PUC basketball tournament. I had just gotten my food in the cafe and the girl was adding up the price of my food. I didn't get a lot of food. I only got a drink and candy bar so my total was only like 3 dollars but I to use an eight dollar card to pay for it. The lady saw this and told me she would pay for my food so I wouldn't have to waste my eight dollar card. I was really blessed when she did that kind act of service for me. Jacob Mertz

  32. Last week when we got the kindness notes back, I couldn't believe how sweet you guys were. Sometimes I am really hard on myself, and put myself down. I don't feel as if I am good enough or like I am giving the best example, but what you guys said truly filled my heart with joy. It almost brought me to tears. Sometimes you don't realize how much your words can affect someone. In bad ways but also in good. You may have just been writing things down as part of yet another assignment, but to me it meant so much more. I feel as if God was speaking through all of you, showing me that I really do have a lot to offer the world. Like he was showing me that I need not put myself down, but even when I do, I have you guys to pick me up. You guys all truly blessed my life. Thank you and I love you!
